Higher Sense Perception Mastery

I recently wrote a post on my blog Science of Energy Healing, entitled Working with Angels. What I don’t share in the post is the doubt that came up when I was communicating with angels. Were those really angels responding to my requests or was it just what my mind wanted to hear? To become a master of your higher sense perception you will have doubt come up.  A lot.

Calling on angels in a crisis situation means that a person is going to be highly invested or attached to the outcome.  That was the case when I called on the angels to help my son find his very expensive hearing aid that he lost out in a very large grassy meadow. How expensive was the hearing aid? The equivalent of two brand new laptop computers. Since the hearing aid was on loan to try it out, I had no insurance on my end for “losing” a hearing aid. I was sweating bullets in other words.  So when I got an affirmation from the angels that they could not only help find it (the visual I got was them handing it to me),  but it was almost immediately after I put in the “request,” I had a hard time trusting my higher sense perception.

A couple of days later, the ranch dogs caught a barn cat and half killed it. My husband couldn’t get close to the cat because of it being hurt and being wild. I asked the angels to help heal the cat, so that the cat wouldn’t suffer. This time I got a feeling of the cat going from fright and terror to peace and calm. Was it just my own wanting a happy ending that led to this information?

Learning to handle doubt is an important part of becoming a master with higher sense perception. Below are my tips on dealing with doubt:

• Understand that the biological mind is programmed to doubt. Welcome it as an opportunity to use your discernment about higher sense perception information that is coming in.
•  Learn muscle testing so you can check the incoming information.
• Be willing to test the information through experience. This will build up your confidence that you are getting good information.

In the first instance with the angels, my son showed up about 20 minutes after my angel meditation with the hearing aid in hand. In the second instance, I found out that the cat died from its wounds. Although I could understand that this was a healing of its own sort, what comforted me was knowing that the cat passed very quickly and without suffering.

Both instances have given me insight into what to expect from angels so that I can begin to more deeply trust what I perceive. I look forward to further experiences with angels and how they work (and play).

Many times, it is hard to understand what we are perceiving until after the event has occurred. This is why journaling our intuitive information, dreams and visions is so important.

For the past several months I have been in a weight loss competition. Starting out with 12 of us, each week someone was eliminated. I was doing really well with consistent progress. Finally it was the second to last elimination. There were three of us left. We had all weighed in and were waiting to hear who had made the higher percentage (they calculated the loss using percentage versus actual pounds lost). I had the percentages going against me because I had more weight to lose than either of my two competitors. A pound lost by me was less percentage-wise, than a pound lost by them.

Suddenly my guides showed up (I was in the middle of a telephone reading at the time!). I saw them all giving me a standing ovation and then celebrating. Wow, I thought! It must mean I haven’t been eliminated. Immediately after my telephone session, I called the gym, only to receive the information that I HAD been eliminated.

With psychic hindsight, I realized that at the moment I left the competition I received the congratulations from my very supportive team for all the hard work I had done at that point. Because of my standing ovation, I wasn’t that sad at being eliminated.

Psychic hindsight also explained why I couldn’t see any energy for me in the last week of the competition. I didn’t know if it meant I was out OR that I had energetically won and the form was catching up to me.

Every time I use psychic hindsight I gain a better understanding of how to interpret higher sense perception. At the same time, when I am in an intense moment, I relax that part of me that has to understand what is going on at the time. I know that down the road, I can use psychic hindsight to make sense of it all.

I’m not much of a cat person. Cats have unique personalities and it takes a rare cat to get me excited. I met one once, though, that was quite remarkable. I was at a retreat near Red Lodge, Montana. I was staying in a tipi with several other participants that was quite a distance from the main house where we gathered for circles and eating.

Also up by a house was a jacuzzi that I enjoyed using. I spent quite a long time in the jacuzzi one night. It was the new moon and quite dark out. Someone asked me if I wanted a flashlight to get back to the tipi, but I was confident that I would be able to see in the dark. Everyone headed home while I stayed longer.

Eventually I set off for my tipi. First I crossed an open field and approached a gate. As I crossed the field, the house cat (who was all black) kept following me, brushing against my lower legs. I didn’t want it to follow me all the way back to the tipi so I kept shooing it away. After climbing through the gate I was on a small trail that wound through the woods. My memory of the trail was one of winding through the trees, crossing a bridge through a small swamp area and then following a creek to the tipi.

I quickly discovered that it was impossible to see. At one point I ran into a barb wire fence, which I didn’t even remember being there before. I became disoriented. Finally I reached where I thought the bridge crossing the swampy area was. As I stepped forward I found myself blocked by the cat again! Once again I tried to move forward and the cat blocked me. Finally I started to wise up and began thinking the cat was communicating with me. I tried turning in a different direction and again the cat blocked me. I turned in the direction that I was sure was wrong and….no cat!

I couldn’t quite believe that was the direction to walk but I hesitantly took a step in front of me. I immediately felt the bridge under my feet. I continued on across with more confidence. Once I reached the other side I could see the light in my tipi and moved toward it. Just before I reached the safe haven of the tipi, the cat who had been walking beside me the whole way, glided away into the dark.

I was impressed. That was one telepathic cat!

Telepathy is one manifestation of clairvoyance and is a natural ability in all human beings and animals as well. Telepathy is the ability to send thoughts, images, pictures or other mental activity to another across time and space.  I believe that telepathic communication occurs much more frequently then we imagine, however,  we “miss ” the signals. A lot of thoughts randomly moving through our head aren’t necessarily our own.

Telepathy often occurs naturally in a car. As two people travel in the same direction, looking at the same view, their timing frequencies synchronize along with their brain waves, creating the perfect condition for telepathy. My husband and I, who have two different cultures and languages, often finish each other’s sentences in the car. Communication has always been difficult for us because of our cultural differences, so when I want to communicate something really important I wait till we’re on a trip together.

Telepathy also occurs with older people. The speculation is that as the near and far senses diminish with age, the higher senses come more to the forefront. If you have a loved one in a nursing home or in a care giving facility, remind the caregivers to mind their thoughts, thinking positively while on the job (or being honest about their feelings if they are having a bad day).

Telepathy also occurs naturally when a loved one is in danger or some catastrophic event occurs. Many people had telepathic dreams and visions prior to the 911 event and the 2004 tsunami in the Indian Ocean. The challenge, as with all higher sense perception, lies in the ability to interpret what one is perceiving.

It’s important to be able to separate the telepathic impression so that the body doesn’t react as if the information is for it. If you get a telepathic message of a catastrophe from across the world, and the body thinks it’s about itself, you’ll go into a massive fight or flight response. Always acknowledge that you might be receiving a telepathic message from someone else, then discern whether it is for someone else or yourself, then decide on the action to take. If you are not able to take an immediate physical action, then send up a prayer for the situation.

Can anyone resist the lure of watching another psychic or medium at work? Mediumship is the ability certain people have to talk with the dead. I’ve personally never seen what the big deal is. However, I do it a bit differently than other people. I read the energy of the person who is working with  me, then ask that person to show me where the person they want to talk to is located. This introduces me to the passed loved one and I invite them to speak with me if they choose. I’m really more interested in developing the skill’s of the person I’m working with in recognizing when their loved ones are “calling in.” (More on that in a minute.)

So who do you like to watch? I very much enjoy watching John Edwards in action on his shows Cross Country. He has an amazing knack with people and is very accurate. I also like watching the show Medium on NBC which is based on real life medium Allison Dubois. I enjoy watching how her family deals with her psychic gifts and her own challenges to read the messages that she’s given.

Here’s a tip for communicating with passed loved one: If you suddenly start thinking about a loved one and an old event with them, it’s the equivalent of them calling you. It’s as if to say, “Hellloooo….remember me? I’m the one who played with you in the pond that day.” What to do…say hello back. Ask them if they have any special message for you or do they just want to pop in and tell you that they are thinking of you.
